Your Role — Key Points
Participation is important: Invite the borrower and builder to join the Built platform for seamless collaboration.
Property Information: Provide accurate, detailed property information.
Budgets: Please use budgets that reflect stages of construction and avoid confusing or unclear budgets so we can accurately report on progress.
Communications: Use Built Comments for all communication.
On-site Signage: Mark the site with a sign showing the name, address, and lot number.
Single Project: Ensure each Built project is for a single address; we cannot report accurately on grouped or multi-site projects.
Ensuring Smooth and Contactless Access
To keep our process quick, efficient, and contact-free, please provide all necessary access information—including lockbox codes, gate codes, alarm codes, or any other instructions—before the inspection request via Built Comments. This helps us avoid delays and unnecessary on-site meetings.


If you do not have a lockbox, we have a lockbox program to assist you!
Lockbox Program: To improve site access and support contact-free inspections, we're offering a lockbox program. Here’s how it works:

  1. Provide shipping details
  2. The lockbox will be shipped within 48 hours.
  3. Once you receive the lockbox, set the lock to the 4-digit code “1776”
  4. Place a key into the lockbox and hang it on the doorknob or another secure location at the property.
  5. Notify us of the location via Built Comments so we can access it for inspections. Thank you for helping us improve the process and ensure timely site visits!.


Please keep in mind
Most reports are completed within two business days of your preferred date.
We cannot credit materials purchased or on-site unless installed.
If interior access isn’t available, we’ll capture what we can and request a lockbox code for future inspections.
